We are attracted to people who know what they want and are diligently expressing their talents to reach their goals. Isn’t this the job of the CEO? He has a vision for his organization and he mobilizes his talent, those of his workforce and all resources available to achieve his vision.
Thriving is achievement of a vision. We want to be enthusiastic about our work and our personal lives. We have developed the best habits to actualize these two goals. Thriving is a combination of our balance in our personal life and our career pursuits. We know how to work and we know how to enjoy our personal life.
If given responsibility, the thriving person can incorporate their obligations into their system of achieving goals. The thriving person knows who they are and how to manifest their desires and abilities in their environment.
The thriving person has a drive for self-actualization. It is a long-term goal that includes all the important factors for thriving in their daily life. They are health oriented, so they are not prone to excesses or self-destructive habits that make them ineffective at times. They are gratified with their lives which makes them empathetic and generous with others.
The thriving person sees contribution as a core value. They are manifesting their own skills, but they are focused on helping others do the same. As the saying goes, the rising tide lifts all boats and the thriving leader knows the more people that are engaged in his organization, the more prosperous will be the organization.
The thriving person is a model to his family, friends, co-workers, and community. Thriving means a person has incorporated strong values into their actions and are moving forward to the benefit of everyone in their circles. A thriving person has a high level of integrity and treats others with respect. This has the karmic effect of coming back to them in terms of support from everyone in their reach.
Develop the habits of the thriving person by prioritizing health, learning, creativity, contribution, caring, and protecting as core values and the outline for daily activities. Time management with time blocks for the most important core activities lead to productive and fulfilling days.
The thriving person does not waste time, get involved in negative banter, lose precious hours with meaningless tasks or distractions, nor lose faith in their plan. A successful life is one engaged in positive behaviors on a daily basis for the good of the actor and all those he touches.
Look for a thriving leader in your life or be one to lead others and the positive reinforcement gained will lift all boats.
