How to Make Every Day Count

Workers complain about stress and lack of free time more than most other issues they may have with their careers or jobs. Some have placed free time higher than having kids or promotions in one survey.

Why do we feel trapped? Why are our expectations not being realized in our daily lives? It certainly centers on how we spend our time. It can also be about income, opportunity, contribution, equality, and job supervision.

Now and during the time most of the world was working from home, the stress did not diminish. This is a result of workers having too much on their plate. Time pressure can add to the stress but the amount of expectation for productivity are placing too many in overwhelm.

Finding Stress Relief

If this is how workers live, it is no wonder that at the end of the day or when they arrive at home, there is no relief from the amount they have to accomplish the next day. Some people are built for stress. Elon Musk must be the king, but he has also had his own issues.

How do you take control of your life? One of the best ways is to create time blocks for responsibilities and free time. Not finding relief or continuous pressure will result in burn out long before your career is over. Best to take steps now to prolong your career and quality of life.

What happens when workers can only see work in their headlights is they lose their feeling of purpose and would rarely consider if they are living up to their expectations of why they are here. Yet, these are the two most important issues for aligning with our soul.

Passions Are a Key to Happiness

Passions are in alignment with our expectations and frequently define our purpose and why we are here. When work is play, the same occurs. If you can’t make the whole package fun, pick out some time slots when your energy is highest and work on the most meaningful subjects.

Pick out a few more time slots and restrict them to you your most important values like exercise, eating healthy, spending time with the kids or mate, learning/reading, hobbies, writing, meditating, or relaxing. You only have so many days and you must make every day count.

Infusing your days with meaningful activities will create a new perspective of your life and how you are living up to your expectations. You will make progress. You may evolve into a superior you. You may fall into flow with your activities and experience the greatest bliss.

At the end of your day, look back and judge whether it was a good day. This is my most important question at the end of the day. Was it a good day?
