What You Can Imagine Might Be Your “Why”
A compass can be a guide to your destination. Mariners have always used some type of guidance system or they could go around in circles. Your imagination could be a great guidance system to reach your destination as it motivates you to work for something.
I love to buy lottery tickets now and then. I then go on a fantasy trip about what I would do if I won. I would first give money to my adult daughters. Then I would pay off my credit cards. Then I would travel on some adventures. I might go to some great restaurants in my area more frequently. I might buy a home in an area I could visit like Hawaii or Italy.
There is great power in fantasies. They tell us we are not dead, depressed, nor have we given up the possibilities of having everything. I enjoy the life I live now, love my relationships. work on my opportunities, and am always trying to innovate for better results. I need to imagine where I am going when I evaluate what I should do and I need to be motivated to do the hard work.
Leaving Our Comfort Zone Needs a Strong Why
The hard work is frequently leaving our comfort zone to risk results we don’t want. Yes, if we leave our comfort zone and spend time or money on an idea, it might not work out. Kali Kavara, a spiritual leader on Instagram said today imagine your worst fears and go there. Live in it for a moment. Realize it’s probably not going to happen. Now deal with the emotions that come up. Then move forward feeling the release of this worst fear.
Think of the best thing that could happen. I work on my surf coaching business. The best thing that could happen is I would be fully booked every day during the summer. I have fun interacting with people and miss it when I am not teaching. In my thriving consulting, I would love to be sitting with more C suite people who want their workers to thrive and be speaking to an audience of their workers.
Money Is Rarely the Motivation for Successful People
Money is not my big fantasy with my work. Success is my fantasy in influencing and changing the lives of more people. I like to imagine what success in my efforts would look like. It also gives me a compass on what to do next. What do I need to do to get where I want to go? What services, media, technologies, and influencers are available to support what I am doing?
Am I doing the most important work each day to make the biggest moves forward? Am I eliminating worthless distractions and time wasting to do lists? I am building optimum health for maximizing energy? Am I eating right to feel great and drinking lots of water? Am I meditating to find the calm in the Universe amidst all the distracting chaos? Am I supporting all the people I love with good thoughts and communications? Do I want everyone to have a better life and am I doing what I can to make a contribution?
Having the right thoughts, intentions, and behaviors powers our own motivation and stimulates the hormones and neurotransmitters Nature gifted us for just these actions. When we have thoughts, intentions and behaviors about benefiting others, we are on Nature’s track for improving life on earth.
Imagine everybody having enough food, water, health, and happiness. Imagine what the world would be without competition for the goods creating war, poverty, criminals, and sadness. Everyone paying it forward lifts all boats. However, we can only do what we can do. Begin by lifting your own boat and imagine what it would be like if all your dreams could come true. If it happens for you, it is a butterfly flapping its wings that will move through all things.

As a Thriving Worker Consultant, I can engage in conversations with employers on how to begin the process of helping workers thrive and reach peak performance. It begins with a conversation to see how far an organization is willing to go to change the culture for workers.
Great practices for daily living can be learned with the Markap Series of Books. If your organization would like live presentations or Zoom meetings, they can be arranged for small to large groups.
